| Biological Activity | This antibody can be used in ELISA assays (1: 4,000 dilution) and Western blot. It recognizes RbAp46, a nuclear histone-targeting subunit that target the NuRD (nucleosome remodeling histone deacetylase complex) and SIN3 complex (paired amphipathic helix domains) to their histone substrates regulated by nucleosomal DNA. NuRD is postulated to help maintain genes in a specific repressed state and SIN3 is involved in transcriptional repression. Both complexes also have specific functions in development |
