Biological Activity | This polyclonal antibody reacts in ELISA (1: 25 dilution) and Western blot (1: 100 dilution) using the immunizing peptide. Cyclin-dependent kinase 5 (Cdk5) belongs to the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. It is ubiquitously expressed in both cycling and noncycling cells but its activity is detected almost exclusively in brain extracts. Cdk5 is activated by p35 protein which is only expressed in the brain. Cdk5 activity is involved in terminal differentiation of neurons and muscle cells. |
Formulation | Solution at 1.0 mg/mL in PBS. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial. |
