Biological Activity | This polyclonal antibody reacts in ELISA and Western Blot using the immunizing peptide. Synphilin-1 is a cytoplasmatic protein that interacts with Alpha-Synuclein in neurons, and plays an important role in synaptic function, protein degradation and Lewy body formation. Mutation of this protein has a role in the formation of aggregates and cytotoxicity in Parkinson's desease by defective ubiquitination and /or proteosomal inhibition. |
Formulation | Solution at 1 mg/mL in PBS. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial. |
