Biological Activity | This polyclonal antibody reacts in ELISA and Western blot assays (1: 1,000 dilution) using the immunizing peptide. c-Myc is a transcription factor with apparent molecular weight of 62-67 kDa which plays an important role in the control of cell growth, cell cycle progression, neoplasia, and apoptotic cell death. It contains a basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper domain required for dimerization and binds DNA as an heterodimer with MAX protein. c-Myc is overexpressed in different tumors such as colorectal, gastric, gallbladder, hepatic, mammary, pulmonary, prostatic, endocrine, as well as hematopoietic neoplasms. |
Formulation | Solution at 1 mg/mL in PBS. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial. |
