Biological Activity | This polyclonal antibody can be used in ELISA (1: 250 dilution), immunocytochemistry (1: 100 dilution) and it recognizes USF-1 (33,5 kDa) in Western blot of HeLa lysate (1: 500 dilution). Upstream stimulatory factor 1 (UFS-1) is a 33.5 kDa nuclear protein that exhibits site-specific DNA binding activating the transcription through pyrimidine-rich initiator (Inr) elements and E-box motifs. USF-1 is a member of the basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper family and can function as a cellular transcription factor. This protein has been associated to familial combined hyperlipidemia. |
Formulation | Solution at 1 mg/mL in PBS. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial. |
