Biological Activity | This polyclonal antibody reacts with the mixture of the above peptides in ELISA (1: 200 dilution) and Western blot (1: 1,000 dilution) assays. VHSV belongs to the genus Novirhabdovirus of the family Rhabdoviridae. Its genome consists of a negative single-stranded RNA. The G protein is a type I transmembrane protein localized on the surface of the virus envelope and binds to specific receptors during the infection process. This virus is the causative agent of the viral haemorrhagic septicemia in salmonid and non-salmonid species causing a great economic impact in Europe and Noth America. |
