Description | IgG fraction from rabbit polyclonal antibody obtained by immunizing rabbits with a mixture of three synthetic peptides corresponding to aa86-96 (STGTFTVPRLK), aa146-158 (KRDYDVTDDEMSI), and aa242-255 (SLARYAFDFYEMTS) of the PPV coat protein. The IgG fraction was purified using Protein G-Sepharose. |

Biological Activity | This polyclonal antibody reacts with extracts of PPV-infected plants in DAS-ELISA as a capture antibody (1: 2,000 dilution) and Western blot assay (1: 500 dilution). PPV belongs to the genus Potyvirus of the family Potyviridae and is the causal agent of sharka disease of stone fruits crops. PPV genome consists of a single-stranded, positive-sense RNA encapsidated by a single glycosylated coat protein (34 kDa). This protein is also involved in systemic movement of the virus. PPV has flexuous filamentous morphology and is transmitted by an insect and grafting. |
Formulation | Solution at 1 mg/mL in PBS. Some of the liquid in the vial could have evaporated with changes in the final volume. However, the mass of the protein is still inside the vial. |
