| Biological Activity | This antibody can be used for ELISA assay. Human CD8 is expressed either as an aß heterodimer or an aa homodimer by the cytotoxic/suppressor subset of T-cells and weakly by NK cells. CD8 acts as co-receptor in class I MHC-restricted antigen-induced T cell activation (binds to class I MHC molecules). It also participates in the thymocyte development. |
